Day 22!!! As a reforming sugar addict I've read several articles regarding the evils of sugar. They've all lead me to the same conclusion; excessive amounts of sugar are bad for us. Of course ANY abused substance is detrimental to our health. We all know this. In the end it all boils down to moderation and self control. We all know that, but for me it sounds much more simple than it is. Long car drives, good movies, bad day at work, and in goes the soda. I thought I was doing myself a favor a few years back when I gave up regular for diet soda. I couldn't have been more mistaken and the results on my health remain evident. I've attached a layman's article regarding some of the harmful effects of sugar. I will dig up more resources on the harmful effects of diet soda for a future posting. 8 Days and a lifetime to go!
